Located near Inverness in Scotland, Culloden Battlefield features a look at the history of one of the most bloody battles between the Jacobites and the British as the Jacobites tried to return the previous monarchy to the throne in England. This was the last stand of the Jacobites in their mid-1700s uprising against the British.
The paths take you along a series of historic points in the battle, and can be self-guided or guided. We strongly recommend a stop in the Visitors Center before you walk these paths to give you historical perspective on this battlefield.
This battle was made famous by the book and TV series Outlander and is well worth the walk!
