Arthur’s Seat is an ancient extinct volcano that is the main peak in a group of hills in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The hike is accessible from many parts of the city so is very popular - and crowded. It gets pretty steep and rocky near the summit, so hiking shoes or boots are recommended.
The summit offers spectacular views of the Edinburgh area, including and the Firth of Forth.
