Akaka Falls hiking trail offers a ton of bang for your buck. The path is less than a mile through a lush rainforest to not one but TWO waterfalls - the beautiful, 442-foot Akaka Falls and the cascading Kahuna Falls.

The trail is a one-way loop that is entirely paved but includes some stairs that can be strenuous. There are pretty viewpoints along the way into a deep valley with a pretty creek.

There is a $5 entry fee for this park that must be paid by credit card. It’s worth every penny!
